Our Story
Hi!
My name is Elizabeth, the founder of Oryvo, an Australian-based business built on a simple belief, some traditions are too valuable to let fade away.
After 20 years of hand sewing, I watched something precious slowly disappear, the art of hand stitching.
Machines took over. The quiet rhythm of needle and thread, the meditative pull of each stitch, the connection between maker and material, it all faded into the hum of automation.
I looked for hand sewing kits worth recommending to beginners. There were none. I searched for guides that truly taught the craft. They didn't exist. The world was moving toward automatic everything, and hand sewing was becoming a lost art.
That's when I created Oryvo.
This isn't just a needle set. It's my answer to a world that's forgotten the value of working with your hands. It's a bridge back to the days when we created slowly, intentionally, and with purpose.
From our home here in Australia, we're on a mission to expand across the globe and inspire a new generation of makers. We want to bring hand sewing back to communities everywhere, to remind people that manual work has meaning, that creating with your own hands connects you to something deeper.
Manual over automatic. Connection over convenience.
Oryvo gives you the tools and guidance that should have always been there. Because some traditions are worth preserving. Some skills deserve to be passed down.
This is more than a product. It's a movement back to what matters.
Welcome to Oryvo. Let's bring hand sewing back together.
